Taco 16th Street: Reviews & Ratings
The food was quite delicious, although the portions served were slightly smaller than expected. The cashier was very friendly and accommodating, and the restaurant was spacious and well-maintained. My family particularly enjoyed the unlimited lemonade refills. We ordered the fideo, tacos, and burrito, and found that the pineapple complemented the pastor tacos exceptionally well. We look forward to returning to try more items from their extensive menu.
We went on dollar taco night and let me tell you the pastor tacos are sublime! My friend and I started off with 3 of the tacos and each got a specialty item on the menu mine being the barbacoa hot dog and it was all phenomenal. The pastor was tender, the tortillas were excellent, and the topping station has everything you’d need to craft a taco to your liking. Last but not least, the aguas frescas were amazing as well. They had a lemonade which was very good, a solid horchata, but the kicker was a cantaloupe/melon flavored drink. I don’t necessarily ever enjoy cantaloupe but I had multiple cups of this aguas frescas because it was soooo good. Highly recommend coming in on Tuesday or Thursday for the taco deal.
Excellent experience. 1st time . The staff was very nice and helpful with the menu. Everything looked delicious. I settled on a Bistec Torta and bake potato. Plus 2 tacos. The food was delicious and tasty. The condiment bar was perfect for topping off the tacos. Overall a great time and definitely coming back .
Did not realize their Al pastor tacos were only $1 on Tuesdays and Thursday. Such a sweet deal. Got both steak and Al pastor, The meat was juicy and tasty. Loved the condiments bar that included verde, chopped onion, cilantro, etc. will be back to try more food.
We came from Austin for a tournament and we found this place on google, decided to give it a try and we started with just two tacos bc we didn’t know how good this place is. Well we ended up going back a few times, my kids ended up eating 5 tacos each. The barbacoa and tripas were our favorite ones. Price was also good, and costumer service was very nice as well.
This place is close to home. We are originally from the valley so finding tacos is hard. This place reminds us of home. The food is always fresh to order and the meal size is great we always get the super plates. I love that they have a taco toppings bar and their Chile Verde is sooo tasty. We have gone while they've had a rush and also when no one is there. No bad experience yet. Definitely will continue getting our tacos from here
I have eaten at this place at least 4 times. During my first two visits, I clearly would have given 5 stars and high praise to the floor/cashier staff. However, on my last three visits, I encountered different people providing the service. My experience on the last three visits no longer felt like a place that truly cares about its clientele. For example, I remember on my first visit, the menu was explained to me very well (I knew the torta came with a baked potato, or papa asada). I have to admit that I hadn't visited the place for at least a month and had forgotten about the baked potato that comes with the torta. So , I ordered a torta and tacos because I was very hungry , and when I got home, I realized I had the baked potato! I had to decide whether to eat it and save the tacos for another day . Anyway, if they had mentioned that the torta came with the papa asada, I wouldn't have ordered the tacos. I understand that as a business, they want to make sales (and I still ate the delicious tacos), but it was the next day, and they just don't taste the same. That is why I am giving ⭐⭐⭐⭐. But the tacos, tortas, and hot dogs I've eaten there are very delicious.
The restaurant is spacious and has a cute photo op wall, if that's your thing. Most importantly, the food is phenomenal and the staff is friendly and helpful. We ordered the torta, quesadilla (not pictured), and plato de tacos de pastor. Very flavorful and I cannot choose which one I liked best! We'll definitely be back! (Idk why the pics aren't loading. Edited with the pics from that day).
